
The
main goal of the CERT program is to train the citizens of
Salinas Rural Fire District to be self-sufficient in a major
disaster by developing skills that will allow them to help
themselves and there neighbors with basic emergency skills. The
program can be tailored to meet your needs.
The training is conducted for civic groups, homeowner
associations, Schools, business etc. The minimum size class is
15 students with a maximum of 30.

• Basic Disaster Skills
• Natural gas, water and electrical controls, Fire Sprinklers,
why, when and how to shut them off
• Types of fire, and using the proper extinguishers to put it
out
• Opening airways
• Stopping bleeding and shock position
• Minor injuries and burns
• Final Exam: Hands On Training
